Camping Administration Intern

Department:Internship Program
Location:Colorado Springs, CO

The camp administration intern will work under the supervision of the director of camp administration to support the camping strategy of Young Life through administrative support and customer service to the field and camp staff. The intern may support the development of Camping Services Administration systems, visualizations and training tools. The intern will experience the overlap of multiple camping departments as well as learn the rhythm of Camping Services. The intern will be included in camping team and cross-functional project planning/update meetings and learning/training opportunities.




Essential Duties:

  • Phone/email support for general camping inquiries.

  • Assist with Camping Services meetings and event support.

  • Assist with camping content on Young Life internal and external websites.

  • Special Projects as assigned often to include a prominent internship project.


  • Actively pursuing a bachelor's degree.

Working Conditions:

  • Open office environment.

Qualifications Required for the Job/Preferred Skills:

  • High level of attention to detail.

  • Excellent grammar and writing skills.

  • Strong customer service orientation.

  • Professional, patient, and friendly phone presence.

  • Ability to multitask and coordinate many simultaneous tasks.

  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office.

  • Experience working with websites and web based applications experience desirable.

  • Familiarity with the mission and structure of Young Life.
