The NOALS team at Northrop Grumman Mission Systems (NGMS) is looking for you tojoin our team as a Software Engineer based out of Schriever AFB, in ColoradoSprings, CO.
WhatYou'll get to Do:
TheSoftware Engineer will support an operational program environment by developingnew capabilities, troubleshooting/ resolving problems, and supporting real-timesatellite launch events in a dynamic operational environment. This is an opportunityto maintain and evolve a satellite ground system in support of MissionApplications and GUI development and Database interactions. Responsibilitiesinclude all facets of the software design, development, and integration lifecycle for software and database changes identified by program personnelespecially as it pertains to Command and Telemetry processing. This includesanalysis of change requests and requirements for new software supportcapabilities; software, COTS/GOTS integration; implementation of software usingJava, C/C , C/Python scripts, Oracle applications, and other programmingtools. Resolve technically challenging issues and proactively evolve systemrequirements. Support rehearsals and day-of-launch activities. This is aposition in which one has the opportunity to work at an operational customerfacility in a dynamic environment where one can directly impact the success ofan important mission.

Thisrequisition may be filled at a higher grade based on qualifications listedbelow.
This requisition may be filled at either a Software Engineer or Principal Software Engineer level.
You'll Bring These Qualifications:
- For a Software Engineer: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or other STEM related degree with 2 years of software development experience; 0 years with a Master's; or 6 years of software development experience in lieu of a degree.
- For a Principal Engineer Software: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or other STEM related degree with 5 years of software development experience; 3 years with a Master's; 0 years with a PhD; or 9 years of software development experience in lieu of a degree.
- Experience developing software using JAVA
- Active Top Secret clearance and ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI Clearance
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
- Able to work in small teams as they develop SW and troubleshoot SW to find/fix defects
Experience in the development of User Interface, process control, algorithms, and/or relational database management applications
Experience with development with Oracle, and PL/SQL
Experience with manipulating streams in binary and hexadecimal format
Experience with Apache Camel, JBoss EAP, and other messaging services.
Experience with Configuration Management and the ability to create install packages and deployment techniques
Experience developing in different operating systems, to include linux/windows and ability to navigate and debug
Experience with space command and control operations and concepts
Knowledge of satellite ground system concepts
Current TS/SCI with Poly
