Arcadis is seeking a motivated and energetic Social Media & Communications Specialist to join our North America Marketing & Communications team! Are you eager to apply your strong writing skills – from journalistic storytelling to marketing-focused copywriting – to a variety of mediums and channels? Do you enjoy delivering compelling brand experiences through social media? In this role, you’ll take the reins of our day-to-day social media management and have opportunities to take on projects within both the communications and digital marketing realms.   
 
As the Social Media & Communications Specialist, you will implement social media strategy under the leadership of our Digital Storytelling & Communications Manager, track performance and work in partnership with MarComms teammates (media relations, content marketing, digital and creative, and events) to increase audience engagement, maintain consistency of voice and visuals, develop creative social media ideas that leverage the latest insights on social tools and ensure high editorial standards.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Oversee daily strategic planning for social content across LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook and Instagram, including the development of editorial content for social promotion.
  • Manage the day-to-day scheduling and publishing of social media content on all platforms.
  • Write polished, accurate, optimized, engaging copy across platform content.
  • Create and implement social media promotion plans to support our Marketing & Communications strategy including events, content marketing and communications.
  • Ideate platform-specific strategies to increase Arcadis’ social following across platforms.
  • Monitor competitors on social media channels and keep up to date with social media best practices and trends.
  • Own data and analytics tracking and reporting across all social platforms, and pivot and optimize strategy in response to data feedback.
  • Support global social media strategies and initiatives, ensuring the North American strategy is in alignment.
  • Support the Arcadis Brand Ambassador Program to help employees become more socially savvy.
  • Write and develop a variety of communications, including news releases, case studies, and project stories to be promoted across internal and external channels.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of public relations and communications strategies, such as monitoring and tracking news coverage.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of digital marketing strategies, such as website management, SEO, Google MyBusiness, and paid social media campaigns.
  • Assist the overall Marketing & Communications team on special projects and other duties as required.
  • Create brand value in North American market through consistent messaging and tone of voice.
  • Serve as an ambassador for the Arcadis brand.
  • Contribute to the total cross-functional effectiveness of the department, communicating openly, solving problems proactively, offering creative ideas and working as a positive, engaged team member.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Excellent writing, editing and presentation skills.

Key Preferred Requirements:
  • Marketing communications experience in a B2B environment.
  • Experience writing smart, optimized, engaging social media copy, including writing headlines and social language, and selecting images with social reach potential.
  • Experience creating graphics and visuals optimized for social media.
  • Experience with Coosto or other social media management platforms, Google Analytics, and other social measurement tools.
  • Familiarity with Cision or other public relations management software.
  • Ability to prioritize and meet multiple deadlines.
