Job: Online Admissions Representative

Westwood College Online (WOL), a career college with locations in Westminster and Colorado Springs that offers associates, bachelors, and MBA degree programs in design, technology, business and criminal justice, is actively seeking experienced sales professionals to work in our Admissions Department.
Our college offers degree programs in an online environment that is flexible, convenient and designed to meet the needs of people looking to create new career opportunities.

Inquiries from potential students are generated from internet marketing, television commercials, website visitors, and representative generated leads. All enrollments are via telephone.

A successful Admissions Representative will enroll at least 65 new students per year covering 10 terms. Each representative receives approximately 40 leads per week, and the enrollment process requires a significant amount of followup work to encourage and support current students while maintaining focus on generating new enrollments.

Preference is for 2-4 years experience in sales or customer service in educational sales/support, or in hospitality, telecommunications, financial services, fitness or other service industries.

Admissions Representatives should have some college coursework and a Bachelor's degree is preferred.

Must possess a strong belief in the value of a career education, and be motivated by helping people advance their career and create a better life for themselves and their families.

Ability to establish a strong relationship over the phone - given the intangible nature of online education, the Admissions Rep is the personality of the institution, and must be able to build rapport, help the student define their career goals, demonstrate how the degree can help them achieve their dreams, and hold students accountable to their commitment to their educational and career goals.

Diligent follow-up skills as the enrollment process does not end with the application; there is usually a 2 to 4 week wait before they can actually start school, during which time certain documents must be secured to validate high school graduation and the financial aid process must be completed. The Admissions Rep must exercise excellent follow-up skills, persistence, and effective time management and organizational skills.

Strong work ethic willingness to make a minimum of 50+ calls per day and complete at least two 60-minute telephone interviews each day.

Ability to generate leads - the representative is responsible for generating leads through referrals and/or networking
