Job: Precision Optical Assembler

Precision Optical Assembler Job Description
Person will work under the guidance of optical engineers and perform precision optical sub assembly, optical alignments and optical repair work. To qualify for this position they must have the following skill set:

Precision placement of small <10mm lens and mirrors

Precision UV gluing capability

Actively align lasers using auto collimators and visual aids

Clean optical lens and mirrors properly

5+ Experience with precision optical assembly or other small part.

Minimum soldering skills for attaching laser diodes to flex leads

Experience with prototype builds

Must be comfortable using a stereo microscope for inspecting parts and for assembly

Proficient with MS Excel and Word

Must understand failure analysis concepts

Experience working in a fast paced environment

Must have good communication skills
Candidates selected will be interviewed and given an assembly test. Experience with instrumentations such as power meter, oscilloscopes, spectrometers and laser alignment equipment are not required but are nice to have skills and will be taken in consideration.
