Job: Denver Area Sales Manager

Summary: Book social, corporate, and group room nights (set at a specific goal) to aid in the hotel sales office’s ability to meet and exceed occupancy, average rate goals, and food & beverage targets, and to develop business.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Other duties may be assigned.
• Manage the Denver office for The Broadmoor Hotel
• Explore, promote, and evaluate oral opportunities
• Suggest advertising partnerships that can directly impact business for The Broadmoor
• Meet and exceed annual room night revenue goals to increase the hotel’s ability to maximize occupancy
• Book businesses with best possible ADR and F&B (keep budgeted figures in forefront)
• Attend industry functions and trade shows to develop new business contacts and sales leads
• Conduct site visits of the property (tours, lunches, dinners)
• Generate and qualify business leads

Education/Experience
Bachelors degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university with a minimum of six to eight years experience in a management position in hotel sales.


Language Ability
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format. Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.

Math Ability
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form, and ability to deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

Computer Skills
Word processing, Spreadsheets, Internet software, E and Database software.
