Responsible for the activities associated with providing quality support services for videotaping and editing, video and teleconferencing, corporate presentations, general events, building technical services and departmental systems and performance. Is proficient in all areas of technical and systems support and is the team expert in daily work processes. Assists the department Supervisor in the budgeting processes; Manages assigned contracts per department policies and practices. Embraces corporate methods of measuring organizational performance to provide excellent customer service.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Acts as an advocate for children
- raising the awareness of the needs, neglect, nurture, and potential of children in poverty and challenging and enabling those within one's influence to greater involvement and effectiveness on behalf of children.
Responsible for video acquisition, editing and mastering of projects as assigned by the Technology and System Support Supervisor. Works within project parameters outlined by the requesting GMC department and project creative briefs to develop effective and dynamic productions to serve Compassion's needs. Maintains a high level of quality conforming to broadcast video standards.
Responsible for video and teleconferencing systems installation, maintainer and setups. Uses technical expertise in Video and Teleconferencing to serve the GMC by installing, maintaining and setting up these technologies here at the GMC. May require travel (less than 10 percent) to other sites to install, setup and train on these systems. Maintains high level of expertise conforming to industry standards.
Responsible for the effective collaboration with the Executive Office, Division, and Department leaders in auditorium presentations. Executes by assisting with the coordination of Chapel and other productions, by reviewing and run tag sheets, set-up auditorium audio and video needs, receiving and loading completed PowerPoint from GMC leaders ensuring equipment runs properly (testing in advance), coordinate staff and volunteers for production of mission related events. Performs event evaluation with key office members to ensure performance expectations are met.
Maintains technology related equipment throughout the GMC by ensuring that supporting supplies are at established service levels and is responsible for setting up AV meetings located within conference rooms. Prioritizes technology service requirements, based on urgency, impact, and available resources by effectively utilizing corporate software applications to manage, communicate, and evaluate departmental services. Provides prompt, efficient, and cost-effective solutions to ensure services are maintained at the desired level of excellence and functionality.
Reviews and coordinates preventive and predictive maintenance activities, which support the department technology plan. Advises Supervisor of service trends and recommendations which support the facilities technology plan for long term success. Insures departmental tasks are performed in accordance with current procedures, 'best industry practices', OSHA and established safety standards.

FUNCTIONAL JOB COMPETENCIES

1. Strong customer service skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities and strict deadlines.
2. Excellent audio-visual production skills.
3. Experience working with variety of video, audio and lighting equipment experience is mandatory .
4. Good leadership, communication and relational skills. Ability to deal well with vendors, employees, volunteers and the public.
5. Must have worked as part of a presentation team or worked independently and has over 100 hours of experience in video production and duplication including live, multi or single camera production, video editing or DVD authoring in broadcast or church settings (or related environments).
6. Strong planning and scheduling skills with knowledge in the use of PC-based systems, including Microsoft Office, work order management applications, building management systems, and other proprietary software.
7. Stays current with new technologies.

3. Must have two years experience in a live presentation setting.

WORKING CONDITIONS

• WORKING ENVIRONMENT: Occasional lifting, climbing and use of support equipment (ear protection, safety belts and back support).
• PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Must be able to lift seventy-five pounds. May require night/weekend/extended hours
• TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: Minimal (less than 10 percent).
